One on one quality care

This time is dedicated solely to you. Together we will define your goals, identify and explore the behavioral and thought patterns that keep you stuck, and create a plan to move you forward. At times, we will process the stressors and current situations in your life that you want to navigate differently. And during other times, we will dive into your past to explore how your experiences have informed your thoughts, feeling, perceptions and behaviors. 

Whether it be struggling to meet your own needs because you put others first, relationship challenges with others or yourself, or wanting to move forward from difficult life experiences-- individual therapy can help you make sustainable change in a variety of areas while also alleviating symptoms of anxiety, depression and trauma.

PERINATAL MOOD AND ANXIETY DISORDERS (PMAD'S)

Are you actively trying to grow your family, currently pregnant or recently had a baby? This time in your life can be exciting, scary, overwhelming, and a whole variety of other emotions.  If you notice that you are struggling with increased irritability, depression, anxiety, anger, difficulty connecting with your baby, or obsessive thoughts; please know you can get better and will not feel this way forever.

Nearly 20% of all pregnant and postpartum women experience a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder (PMAD).  Experiencing a PMAD does not mean you are failing as a mother or that you will always feel this way. I am trained to help treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders by Postpartum Support International (PSI) and am ready to help support you during this time in your life!

EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION AND REPROCESSING (EMDR)

EMDR is an effective and evidenced based treatment modality used to facilitate healing from traumas of all types. This type of therapy, accelerates healing from difficult life experiences and therefore reduces distress, emotional reactivity, anxiety, depression and many more challenging thoughts and feelings.

 

EMDR is done using various forms of bilateral stimulation, most frequently through the use eye movements. This type of treatment can help to resolve trauma symptoms that have not remit by standard talk therapy alone.

AURICULAR DETOX -
EAR ACUPUNCTURE

Are you looking for an adjunct treatment to enhance your therapeutic journey? Acudetox (ear acupuncture) is done by placing up to five thin, sterile, single-use needles or acupressure seeds in both of your ears. The needles are generally left in place for 30-45 minutes. Seeds can be worn until they fall off or until you remove them.

Possible Benefits of this Treatment Include: A general feeling of well-being, improved sleep, sense of relaxation, decreased cravings for addictive substances and improved pain management amongst many more benefits. With repeated sessions these benefits may be enhanced.
